I got a new car that is kind of the rapper/pimp stereotype and thus some of my friends got me listening to rap and hip hop.

Any Devin The Dude Fans out their?

Lets talk hiphop and rap

Devin The Dude is good, a little same-y (when I saw him live, his set went on for far too long), but good.

If you're looking for stuff in that vein, check out Kool Keith's Black Elvis/Lost In Space record and Panacea's Ink Is My Drink

There's a wealth of Chopped & Screwed hip-hop that'd probably be right up your alley, too.

I don't listen to hip hop a lot, but I like A Tribe Called Quest, Nas, Hieroglyphics.. my favorite by far though is GangStarr (DJ Premier and GURU), definitely check that out if you don't know about them. Premo uses interesting samples, so each song has a pretty distinct sound. I think he produced Illmatik too. I like Daily Operation by them the most.

I love Dr Dre. Aesop Rock is good too, especially None Shall Pass. That's about the extent of my rap indulgences.

I like the first two Cypress Hill albums, but they're more for getting stoned to rather than rolling to.

I like the Tupac Stuff too, this one has a great bassline. (Contains use of the N word, its Pac)

Thanks for posting the pic - brings back memories from the early seventies when I was attending an urban HS and my mom drove a Lincoln like yours that my friends called the "ghetto cruiser."
