stupid job/ no jazz band for me

I just got a call from the band director at my college and he was practically begging me to join the jazz band with my choice of bass or trombone. With no tryout

but I can't make it because the band conflicts with my work schedule

oh well I still got concert band on trombone so maybe ill join in on the jazzy fun next semester.
