Angry Stupid sr5 review on musiciansfriend

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey TBers, this review ticks me off, stupid kid...

"May 4, 2005 - I am eleven years old, and I had been playing guitar for about a month when I decided to play bass too. I have a Gibson Les Paul, SG, and a Jackson USA Custom guitar. When this bass came in the mail (a surprise from my parents) I took it out of the box, but it made a buzzing sound in my Marshall Guitar amp, so I sent it back. The second one I got didn't buzz, and I have the coolest bass in town. My next door neighbor happens play bass for over 30 years, and he is playing a Shector or something cheap like that. I showed him mine, and he almost got tears in his eyes. All I can play now is "Brain Stew" by Green Day, but I don't think I'll need lessons, because most bass players just play the same string over and over again the whole song, like on School of Rock (That movie is even greater now that i'm a musician). Look for me in a few years, because I will surely be in a big-time band."

prolly fake, but come on, "most bass players just play the same string over and over again the whole song", nooob!!

My thoughts exactly.
Also, think of his poor neighbor. I mean, think of the poor working musician who's been playing and woodshedding for 30 years who can only afford a cheap bass, and the guy next door gets a $1000+ bass to "just play the same string over and over again the whole song." That makes me sick.

That has to be a joke. The grammar is far too refined for the average 11 year old.

I disagree. Note the missing commas, misconjugated verbs, and improper spelling. I could write better than that when I was an 11-year-old. Also, even if it is a joke, you know there are real people out there who are exactly like this. I've met a few.

You know, I'm pretty much immune to "bass is easy" comments now but for some reason this little prima donna's ignorance genuinely pissed me off.

It's a troll. Come on now. It's not even a good try, as it hits every single spoiled-brat cliche.

Who cares. I bump across ignorant people with ignorant opinions every day. If I got bothered by all of them, I'd shoot either them or myself.

This had to be written by a guitar player or a singer

I didn't know anyone actually read the reviews on Musician's Friend ...

...I know I never have.

But its kinda weird posting it on MF, and giving it 5 stars too.

You're wasting your time with a spoiled 11 year old's opinion?
