Substitute for rack rails

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys. So a few days ago I build myself a rack case. Now all I have to is get some rack rails to put into it but finding some has been quite a challenge. I live in British Columbia so shipping from all the American music sites is gonna be about 30 bucks Is there anything else I could use instead of actual rails so I could mount my pre and power amp? Thanks!!

Have you tried L & M or Tom Lee Music?

I know that Tom Lee used to keep alot of the Middle Atlantic stuff in stock.

If not just order them from Musicians Friend....free shipping to Canada.

Hi.

Even though I wouldn't use 'em in my builds, any strips of hardwood will act as rack-strips.

As long as you aren't doing a lot of loading and unloading of the rack, wood rails and wood screws work just fine. Drill pilot holes first to avoid splitting the wood.
