Subway Commercial--Worst Bass Tone Ever!

Have you guys seen the Subway commercial with the black guy rapping or singing about Subway and this white dude in a black fedora, red shirt, playing the upright? It's the worst bass tone ever! I know it's upright, but it's not supposed to be that darn twangy! No thump at all, just thwank! By contrast, the new show Michael and Michael Have Issues for Comedy Central has a great upright tone. What other TV shows commercials have you noticed with good or bad bass tone?

On topic, I love the Free Credit Report band- those guys rock. Very versatile(I'm sure they're not just pretty faces aping some slick writer's clever tunes ).

I'm not sure if your serious or not, but I'm pretty sure they're actors. The bass player doesn't even really play if I'm not mistaken. The lead singer guy is definitely an actor.

I don't play DB, so I don't feel I belong over there. Besides, tone is tone.

Regardless, the band and whoever writes those tunes is good.

The FreeCreditReport ads are pretty funny, as a rule. The last couple of ones have not been so good... I think they may be about at the end of the line on that thing.

The Renaissance Fair one is my favorite... sweet looking Jazz Bass used in that spot as well.
