Suggestions on dance songs

Sign in to disble this ad
We are a 3 peice (guitar, bass and drums) and looking to replace some of the slow cover songs with some more upbeat dance songs. I wanted to hear from experienced cover bands out there what works well? We have some on the list now that go over well (James - Laid, Mrs Robinson, Outkast - Hey Yeah etc).

Any good ones you guys do? Thanks

Paralyzer by Finger 11 is a huge hit with my band, as is Crazy Bitch by Buck Cherry (It's the Brown Eyed Girl of the 21st century), Play That Funky Music still gets em out on the floor, and if you have little or no self respect, Talk Dirty To Me by Poison is very popular round here as well.

Can't go wrong with "Twist And Shout" by the Beatles. That one tends to get people moving.

Although I despise this song to the very core of my existence, people seem to love dancing to "Shout" by the Isley Brothers.

How about 'she works hard for the money' by Donna Summer? Even the instrumental version gets people out on the dance floor. Of course, that's if you can stand playing something that borders (or even crosses into) disco by some definitions...
