| Suggestions for my gig book!!!

I graduate college in just under two years. One of my main graduation requirements as a bass major is to compile a "gig book"- essentially a fake book, filled with charts for tunes of varying genres that I can bring on a gig, give to other musicians, (I have to make a second book of the same contents for a keyboard or guitar player), and be able to use as a set list for the gig. The basic theory behind the project is that it saves me from having to show up with a limited repertoire, and struggle through the gig playing tunes I don't know.
At any rate, I need in the neighborhood of eighty tunes. I'm planning on picking ten or so standards from different genres, most likely with more emphasis on jazz and pop.
I spend most of my time playing in original groups, (while I still can!) I'm looking for suggestions of standard tunes in the genres of: "latin", funk, pop, or anything you've played in a variety band.
I have a good start on my rock and jazz sections; I'm using a chunk of real book charts, and rock charts I've collected- Guns n' Roses, Aerosmith, ect....
Thanks!
*Negative comments about the arrogant, worthless task of earning a college degree in Music Performance would be better posted elsewhere, thank you!
