Has anyone ever seen a metal bassist/guitarist using a sunburst guitar?

I saw this one guitarist at Ozzfest with a semihollow sunburst/yellow (can't remember) PRS.

I'd be so busy making my way to the exit I'm not sure I'd even notice the colour of the instruments being played.

+1

Big metal fan myself, but I don't base my purchases on how "metal" the instrument is. You can pretty much make any bass to metal.

On second thoughts, lets all play black BC Rich Zombie's, anything other than that is totally not metal.

Now, now, now, I'm sure some Razorback's would do,
in sunburst.

I don't think that classifies as "metal," but I agree that it doesn't matter much for metal. There are so many different "looks," and, personally, I hate the all black look. I don't even like black guitars and basses.

I think it can be cool though when a "heavy" band like Rammstein (I know, not metal) plays all white instruments. The contrast is cool.

Some say Led Zep started the whole metal thing... but they also had songs with mandolin... eh, I dunno...
