The superbowl Show was AWESOME!

I know there's a thread already going about how fake the performance was. That doesn't really matter to me. If Yo Yo MA can fake his inaugeration performance- so can Beyonce and hell if I care if she does it at a halftime "show" too.

On a real note- THE ENTIRE SUPERDOME ON DMX!
The lights were insane this year. I didn't really understand the overhead visual, but it was still pretty cool. I felt like this year the cameras shot more of the stadium than every other year just because of the lights. But to see all of the level rows in the stands lighting up and strobing with hardly any delay to the music (other than what the cameras add) was amazing. I'm no lighting guy or anything, but I know hard work and a job well done when I see it. 'Grats to that lighting and stage crew- Helluva show.

Yeah it was pretty amazing. Until that point where the electrical failed and delayed the game by over a half hour.

I understand that people hear with their eyes and that her music is mediocre enough to need a lot of enhancement on the visual side... but the tech implications were something they might have wanted to check out beforehand and scale back the production as needed. Supposedly the power went out twice during rehearsals so that should have been a pretty big red flag.

I'm interested to see what they do next year when it's outdoors in New Jersey. If you've ever wanted to see Bon Jovi playing in the snow, this may be your chance.

That will be interesting to see in an outdoor venue. I'm sure they'll tons of props to make Bon Jovi seem better! lol

It didn't seem like the whole stadium went down. It was probably a problem waiting to happen, so they were able to fix it for half the stadium but couldn't foresee it happening again. It kind of seems ironic that they even had that outage rehearsed. If the show did kill the lights, I feel like it either would have happened a lot earlier or it did and somebody failed to notice a generator running- which is when the game should have been stopped because the outage at that point would have been inevitable. The Stadiums not designed to run its generator for a full capacity game.

At least nobody was hurt!

I flipped over to Velocity and watched the Muscle Car auto auction during the halftime show. Beyonce becomes tiresome with the "looked pissed off, look sexy, imitate a dog humping an imaginary leg" dance routine.

I was immensely entertained by this though:

Beyonce is lovely, and there was added eye candy. I didn't listen much, mostly just watched the visuals.

Beyonce was good for the 15% of the show that actually had singing in it...

I actually find those other two Destiny's Child gals more visually appealing than Beyonce.

But that's probably just me.

All I know is, I'll never get those 16 minutes back.

Visuals were great...but not being a Beyonce music fan the music didn't do much for me. I did dig the electronic stage effects though.

Anytime the commercials are the best part of a tv event there is something wrong!

That being said I intentionally missed the half-time show. The worst half time show I remember was Michael Jackson ... That was creepy. The lamest was the Rolling stones.

I went to Bass pro shop and to my surprise they didn't have a single bass guitar.

I dug the whole thing. I am not a huge fan of her music but she rocked it and the produciton was pretty amazing. Compared to some of the lame ones they have had in recent years (BE peas ...horrible, the WHO....awful, Madonna..underwhelming) it was far and away better. Springsteen was pretty good

Oh yeah, and Beyonce----she fine!

I didn't care for the 1/2 time show at all. I do agree that the BE Peas were worse though.

I do like to look at pretty girls, but the actual "show" was boring.

Destiny's Child was the highlight of half time. The girls are better looking and the music had more depth and scope. The contrast was startling.
