Supergroup-Dead or alive...

I assume this thread's in the right place. After all,it does include us lowly bassists.

Your dream band.With musicians that's deceased,or alive.

I'm not talking about throwing together all the greats together in one band(EXAMPLE:Buddy Rich,Randy Rhoads),not a good musical combination,IMHO.

I'm talking about putting together a band where the members musical styles would result in a tight, tight band.

I would really like to see you put some real thought into this.

The ultimate super group, IMO, is The Who. I wouldn't change a thing about their original lineup.

First one
Pete Townsend
Paul Rogers
Jeff Beck
Steve Winwood
Jack Bruce
Tony Williams
That's three killer vocalists, a couple of good songwriters, and a lot of imagination and flexibility in the guitars. Plus cross-over to other instruments where Jack could play keys while Winwood plays bass or guitars.

Second One---
Steve Cropper
Billy Preston
Joe Walsh
Nathan East
Steve Gadd

John

I would like to see Jeff Coffin work with Dio, Dave Lombardo and Matt Garrison.

No idea what it would sound like.
