Any fans of this band? As I sit here listening to Breakfast in America I must say they are quite good. Interesting music, nice and different. Not quite progressive, but more out there than classic rock. Great bassist too!

Any other fans?

I don't dig them. About 3 seconds is all I can take.

Not a huge fan but I liked Crime of the Century more than Breakfast in America.

Kind of in that Moody Blues meet Geddy Lee's voice kind of thing.

Bloody well right!

I liked 'em OK when "Crime of the Century" came out, but yeah the vocals were, er, unique. And the songs were not as hard rockin' as I was into at that time. But the players were good.

I went to their farewell tour in '83 and I couldn't believe how many hits these guys had! They played over two hours and I knew, or had heard, nearly every song!

Good players, good songwriters - just not my cup of tea.

Yup, big fan here for the last 30 years or so! I love their melodies. The bass lines are pretty good too! I've always regretted never getting to see them live. Oh well...

I always got them mixed up with 10 CC.
Never liked either one much.

I'm a fan of Supertramp. 'Crime Of The Century' is one of my favourite albums of all-time. I suggest you check that out if you haven't yet. 'Breakfast In America' and 'Even In The Quietest Moments...' are also great albums. Good grooving bass playing as well.

Lets not forget their first album, Supertramp, with the song Surely on it

One of the best bands ever imo.

I have beem spinning Retrospectacle for a month now. I really have come to appreciate their work. I especially love the song "School" with that cool key melody and killer bass part and tone.

I love Crime of the Century. My favorit song is School. I love Dougie Thopsons tone. I did a post on Dougie in bassists forum but their does not seem to be much info on this guy. I would love to know what equipment he used for the making of Crime of the Century. Good Band
