Sorry, haven't been around since October-ish, probably won't be around til the end of the year much, either...
a few weeks ago, while bypassing the proprietary IC/relays in a newer Orange amp (hint: if you ever open one up, you'll know they're complete garbage-don't even argue) it all became clear...
"dude (or brah, if yer of that persuasion), just build your own amp"
The power amp...300 watt monoblock (ab) is already done.
Thinking about going modular, with a 200 watt (6550 or kt) tube amp, to boot...but let's not get crazy.
And I'm drawing up a 4 band active, a la thee ol' sunn coliseum...but with a switchable band/control...
In the meantime, still playin gigs...still doing live audio, still don't care which amp/bass is right for metal
sooooo, not sayin' goodbye, just sayin'...
