SVT on House!

Did anyone catch that last night? It was a rerun, so this may have been discussed before. He wheeled in an SVT fridge to use as a PA, to enduce a seizure in a patient. I thought it was an interesting prop! They must have wanted to go for size!

Probably a bass player in the props dept. We do all kinds of subliminal stuff, when we can get away with it. (no, I don't work on that show)

House was a re-run so it probably was USA made. The funny part to me was when House talked over the music while it played through the SVT-CL.

One of my favourite shows! Hugh Laurie might have requested it himself.

It just finished running again now.

No power cord, no input, no audio player in sight. Gotta love it.

What I found incredible is that he wheeled in 245 lbs of Ampeg without so much as a pant. This is amazing enough for Hugh Laurie himself, let alone a doctor with a bad leg.

It was a prop. They were probably empty shells.

He's a musician, maybe it was his.

Anybody else love it when you see his Honda Respol CBR??? It's because of his show that I actually like that bike. Talk about product placement.

AH, dont you guys listen to the commercials for HOUSE, love that bassline... Unfortunately it plays in my head almost constantly as we're House addicts here. It was probably recorded off that SVT. BOB

Also another show that had an Ampeg in it was that new sci fi show Fringe, they were studying some egg shaped thing and they had a really old Ampeg B-15 (it had a silver face) to send sounds to the egg thing.

Is this just product placement???

I saw that too, it looked like a B15 head on top of a vintage 810 fridge. Love that vintage gear, maybe I will head out to Cambridge and try to snake it when no ones looking!

That's a Massive Attack song called Teardrop. It's pretty representative of their stuff, you should check them out.

Went out and listened, not the background music of the show. I meant the music on the commercials on USA, its all a heavy Bassline. Thanks, BOB

I saw that too...but I think the cabinet was much smaller than an 8x10. It looked to be in good shape though.

Yeah maybe, it was a fast moving shot, but it was at the right height and had the badge in the upper-left hand corner. Probably was a B15 up on a table.

It was a B15...I paused it and said to my g/f..."Do you see what that is?" Reply in disgust (b/c she knows that is where my money goes) "Ampeg"
