Sweating under the body

Sign in to disble this ad
Anybody else have a problem with sweating where the body of the bass rests against your torso (gross I know )? I hate peeling my shirt off where my bass was laying after prolonged playing (never had to deal with a sweat stain). Has anyone come up with a remedy?

Hi.

I don't really notice, because rocking hard tend to open all my sweat glands regardless of the area.

The stage lights don't help either.

But for less "active" playing, that might be annoying. A different type of fabric could help perhaps.

Just 0,02€

there's this old High School Gym trick...

where you apply antiperspirant in areas, other than the under-arms...

yea, its sorta of strange...although, I would never try it, there's some harsh metals in "Axe" and I can't imagine what it would do to my skin

I really don't know if it comes in bulk. I pretty sure you can get Goldbond or the cheap Wal-mart equivelant in big bottles for fairly cheap.

I bring spare shirts. For my hands I carry baby powder (learned that by watching Robert Fripp), but I find I have to put some on after every song, or it gets sticky. Years ago I used a silicone lube called Sil-Glyde. It was available by the tube at K-Mart in the automotive dept. But over the course of a few years it soaked in at every fret on my Precision's neck, and stained the maple. Between that and half the paint peeling off the body, that bass has a unique look, for sure!

On the back, various belt buckles have gouged through to the bare wood.
