In short - don't bother with the latter.

I placed an order for a condenser mic with these clowns. I tried to call them by phone to check availability on three occasions and nobody answered. They did email to say delivery would be 2 weeks. Well, okay. After 2 weeks I managed to get another response saying it would be another 2 weeks, at which point I politely cancelled my order, suggesting that they answer phone enquiries and and be as accurate as they can about delivery times. 2 weeks later, I'm still waiting for a refund with no further communication from them.

By way of contrast, I ordered an item from Sweetwater in the USA about the same time and the service, communication, delivery and follow-up was genuinely first rate. This is something that the USA guys seem to be miles better at than the piss-poor service we often get over here.

Good choice with Sweetwater. I have ordered several items and asked several equipment questions from them and I must say that they really do have excellent service. I also love that they have free shipping and a free 2 year warranty, although I don't know how that works because from the looks of it you're ordering from the UK.

I ordered some software because I could get it there way cheaper than I could buy it over here, even with import duty and the dreaded VAT.

I called in my order by phone. The guy that I spoke to was polite, knowledgeable, pleasant and professional. He was more than happy to answer all my questions, depite the fact that the amount that I was spending wasn't huge and I needed special attention as an international customer. He sent a personal email to confirm my order and another when it was dispatched. He sent another checking that I'd got it okay and offering any help I needed for whatever reason. No candy, though.

The price I paid was great (hence the order) and the delivery time was quicker than some things I've ordered from 1/100th of the distance. The whole service experience was first rate, I can't recommend them highly enough. UK suppliers could learn a lot from these guys - although to be fair, a few do manage to come up to the the high standards set by you American chaps. Digital Village over here are very, very good in this respect. But many are not.
