Any advice is appreciated / thanks! | I use a very light-weight GigEasy iPad holder mounted on a tripod-based mic stand with a "boom." It seems extremely stable. I don't think a round weighted base stand would be as stable, and I wouldn't be able to see the iPad as well without the boom-arm.
I'm also in a coverband. We have a song list of over 300 songs. I use my iPad for set lists and for lyrics/sheet music for songs we don't play often. Sometimes I'll add a page for event-centric information if I'm emceeing. Much more professional-looking than a music stand, and the built-in lighting is great too!
My iPad also has tuners, SPL meter, metronome, and an "App" that allows me to link with our monitor mixer and control my personal monitor mix. (And a bunch of other stuff, too.)
Great tool!!! |
