I like the rumble that the sound creates, I like the feel of the big meaty strings when I play them, and I like feeling the vibration of the strings through the body of the bass when I play it. Bass - a decadently sensual experience!
Damn, I like that, it sounds like a GREAT phrase for a Talkbass t-shirt! Hey Paul .....
EDIT - And it's now part of my signature, too!

| | | | Actually I find that I enjoy the sound of a guitar as much as a bass, but I hate the way the guitar is physically played. The tiny strings, the tiny string spacing, the way-too-light body etc. I just much prefer the thick strings and the fingerpicking of a bass, even if I couldn't hear any of them. |

also, after spending some time exploring the world of flats, i really love the 'rough' feel of nickel strings against my fingers now.

Soundwise I love all sorts of weird things... one of my favorite sounds is the Micro Pog with an equal mix between my bass sound and the 1 octave up sound, with a bit of the 1 octave down mixed in for room. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
