TalkBass-like guitar forum

This is the mecca of all Bass discussion sites. I've been spending more time here than I have concentrating on work, and i just purchased a bass from a member. I have,... how do you say it... G.A.S....

Try as I might, I'm not having much success getting my sons to see the light of playing bass. They prefer six string. One son plays electric, the other acoustic.

Do any of you know of a forum for high pitched winey guitars like this one is for bass? I'm looking for the best of the best, like this one.

Thanks in advance...

Well I knew that really. I guess I am asking for something even remotely similar in even a small way... I've learned so dang much here and I really enjoy it, that I'd like to find something similar for my sons. It's either this or x-box. PLEASE HELP

http://www.fenderforum.com/

The Fender Discussion Page is the best guitar-oriented forum that I know of. A well-moderated, very knowledgable group that is only too happy to help anyone who asks. There's also a bit of cross-pollination between TB and the FDP since some of us are members of both forums. I've personally always considered TB and the FDP to be sister sites, since they're so similar.

http://www.tdpri.com is a good one. It is Telecaster based but lots of good technique, theory and hardware discussions. Oh, has a bass forum too.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you....

I'm becoming somewhat of an Ibanez freak, so I'll probably hit the www.jemsite.com/ one while my son is more of a Fender kid so he'll be hanging around the http://www.tdpri.com . Until I can bring him over here to the good side...

Click on the link for Ibanez Rules and visit Rich Harris' site thru-Jemsite. He has sweet Ibanez guitars for sale. Guitar GAS happens there.
