Talkbass needs to REPENT!

Sign in to disble this ad
Seriously, Talk Bass needs to repent! Every time I get a little extra cash, there is always someone here selling a bass that I would just love to have. To make matters worse, sometimes I have no extra money at all! But yet here you all are, selling basses like DR HEARTFIELDS, ROSCOES, FENDERS, KEN SMITHS, the list goes on and on. To further the pain, the members here have been great to deal with and I actually prefer them to taking a chance with the Multi million dollar Giant ( may be billion dollar by now) Ebay. Oh did I mention you can trade basses on this site as well??????

Heck even FL Knifemaker is in on it tonight. He has a Ibanex Axstar, for sale, see link….80's Ibanez Axstar just like I used to have before my so called friend that I loaned it to pawned it to fund his drug habit. You all remember that post right! Oh well fast fwd….I could get this and bam, back in business, but Noooooo, not now. And member dkb is as much to blame with his Heartfield that I have been looking at everyday.
FS: Fender Heartfield DR-6 6-String

Someone needed to say something, so I stepped up to the plate and will be the lamb for the sacrifice. This is out hand, a place where you can buy with confidence, the members are Kool, and lots of knowledge for the beginner or advanced. You can even talk/vent about anything here in the different forums except Politics. Not sure about why Politics is off limits, people talk about race and all but no politics?? oh well……

I know what you will say…”Dude just point your mouse to another website and stop your whining” Well easy for you to say, tell the smoker to just stop smoking, Gun lovers to just start using sling shots, Rush Limbaugh to just become a Liberal. I am hooked people! I did not have a problem with GAS until I joined Talkbass.

Talkbass, its hard to believe that in such a evil world, you do what you do, I thought life was suppose to be more complicated than this. Talkbass, you are becomming to powerfull and soon, you will be like Walmart, in everybodies homes or neighborhood with your goods and excellent service. REPENT NOW! (much hyperbole)

you know how to correct your GAS problem right?

...BUY MORE BASSES. you only live once man, debt can't touch you when you're dead. Sure it can destroy the lives of family members that you leave behind, but sometimes that's the price other people pay for YOUR happiness in this life. So live it up now, because you only live once.

I try not to look in the classifieds. Everytime I do, I buy something. It's just better if I don't go there.

That's the spirit.

With the economy the way it is its a wise decision to invest in bass guitars.

What else are you going to do with your money?

i've bought 2 basses in the past 2 months, well, i bought them at the same time. Two Tom Clement basses, 6 string fretless and 4 string fretted. i just made a downpayment to a TB member for a $3600 bass. i'm telling you guys, when you cut back on non-essential items such as food, clothing, gas, and shelter, the GAS problem goes right away.

I've found the solution for me... I'm out of money I allow myself for bass related purchases and I don't dip into my wife and I's family funds. And I NEVER buy music gear on credit. So based on those things... I'm a celibate TB bassist right now.

Some TB'ers will allow payments in chunks on larger items dependent on their personal situation. I had someone let me do it awhile back on a pre during a stretch where I ended up with some unexpected expenses. Good feedback is your friend.

YUP

You guys are feeling me! the kind of deals we make here with each other are imo unsurpassed. also.........

Most of us have NEVER seen the other, and we argue sometimes to the point of a thread having to be shut down, but if some outsider tries to screw one of our members over with a sale or what-ever, members here do unite on behalf of the other getting screwed. I have seen it and it's beautiful. We may have differences, but if you are an outsider with evil intent... don't screw with our members, because one of us may live you! and you could get...Jacked.
