TB Classifieds: An uncommonly good community!

I've been on TB for a while, but was always just a lurker, rarely posted or commented. Three months ago or so I finally became a supporting member. Within the last three months, I have done a couple sales and trades. I'm now hooked on trading gear!! LOL!

But, what I really want to comment on is that I'm amazed and extremely happy with this community. Despite cons and scams and sucky economy, there is a large amount of trust on here. For example, I just sold my Peavey Millennium 5+ to downtownblues. It took him a few weeks to get the money together, but there was this uncanny amount of trust in knowing that he would eventually buy the bass. There was a lot of trust on his part in trusting me to not sell it before he got the money together. I wish communications could be this good and civilized. I've had some awesome trades as well and with similar experiences.

Like I said earlier, it's nice to have at least one positive community to visit when sometimes work can be so negative and home can be challenging too.

Maybe bassists are just more professional and civilized!!

+1 to all of that. Everybody that I've dealt with has been extremely patient, friendly, and easy to work with. I try to return the favor as best I can. I think that's what keeps it going - everyone striving to be a good person in response to a community of good people.

I love this place!

Yep - nice friendly community here. But what else can you expect from bass players?

This.

I have been on GC, Sam Ash, etc. websites in a long time. There is no need anymore.

thanks for the props - we on the admin/mod side of the fence work hard to keep things right.

this would probably go best in the misc forum, so i'll move it there.
