The time has come to enshrine those moldy oldie thread topics that refuse to leave quietly. What lines of discussion would you like to see fade away never to be seen again? My nominations for permanent retirement:

"Why buy an expensive/boutique bass?"
"Jaco was overrated/sucks/is no longer relevant etc"
"Why would anyone need more than six strings"
"Why does anyone still play 4 strings"
"Am I the only one that doesn't like effects?" (Posted in effects forum.

I'll add more as I think of them. Anyone else?

Sure enough.. Any thread that starts with or contains this VERY irritating phrase... "quick question.." also "just a quick question..." Or of a similar form down those same annoying lines... BAN any and all threads like that for shear lack of imagination.
