| | | My Ibanez RG7321 which is tuned as a faux 7 string bass EADGCFBb, the low E is a 105 bass string, probably gonna bump it up to 110 sometime. 25.5" scale length
My 8 String Schecter tuned F#BEAGCF, Low F# is an 85 bass string. 26.5" scale length.
Tuning in fourths is hold over from starting on bass.
Favoring 7/8 strings or tuning in fifths is a result of when I got into guitar and I missed having those low notes.

On Black Friday, there was a wicked deal at Sweetwater for a Gibson Les Paul Studio in Fireburst for $599, which I bought.
About a week or so later, Sam Ash sent out a Close-Out sale email, which I was not planning to read but looked at quickly. I was quickly taken by a Gibson Flying V in classic white for $799. I know they regularly retail around my area for $1,200. I thought about it overnight then ordered it the next day.
Bass is my main instrument, so I was only planning on a small amp. For an amp, I chose the Orange Micro Terror with 2 PPM108s, making a full stack that is barely taller than my knees. Haha! But make no mistake, I cannot turn it up to volume level 1 without my wife shouting downstairs to turn it down. LOL!! I haven't dared to venture into volume 2 territory yet. Haha!
Here it is next to the LP for height reference.
The following are not with me, but still at my parents' home. My parents gave me my first guitar. It was a Stinger by the C.F. Martin Company, an overseas constructed Strat-style electric guitar. Looking around the web for pics, I couldn't find an exact pic. This one is pretty close, except my headstock is closer to a traditional Fender headstock, not a pointy one like the pic.
Since I was a child, my father has owned a Gibson ES-120T, which sounded and played wonderfully, and is likely responsible for my soft spot for Gibson guitars. It looks like this...

My wife is very tolerant of my noise making on both guitar and bass. And she tolerates band rehearsals on Friday evenings, although we're not too loud.
Side note...I love your tile floor! My wife's friend just had similar tile installed in her kitchen. The rich look of wood that won't dent. We have wood flooring in our kitchen (Brazilian Koa) and while beautiful, it takes a beating from the less careful members of the family and the weekly bit of worry when bandmates load in and out (fortunately the drum set stays put).

It's just a thin laminate hardwood flooring ontop a few inch riser, creating a small-sized, personal "stage." This is my cave/bass room. lol I'm not posting a wide shot until I've completed the task of hanging my basses & guitars on the walls.
I'm a member of the TalkBass Lone Wolf Club, which means I'm not playing with anyone right now. I haven't played with other musicians for a long time. My wife has never been subjected to a band rehearsal or even seen me play with a group yet. We didn't know each other at that time.

My newest addition, a 1967 Mustang.
I also have a USA Strat which I love, and a couple cheaper guitars I modded and have fun with.

I cannot recall if its a 4x10 or 4x12.

(very cool by the way!) | I picked that up back in 1984 when I worked for Washburn. They had two of those at the Northbrook, IL warehouse and I grabbed one for an absolute steal.

I bought it from a friend/bandmate who got a killer deal on a vintage Martin 12 string.

You've reminded me that I don't own a decent acoustic. I just own a little Samick that I bought for $99 to mess around with when I first moved to Vancouver from out of province. I'd been meaning to upgrade but never quite got around to it.

It's a nice guitar. I had another Agile a few years ago and stupidly sold it. Bought this one to take it's place. This one came with Seymour Duncan pickups.
It's funny since I've been playing this guitar again I've been having guitar GAS. Haven't had that in a long time.

| | | Here's my old Fernandes Tele that I modded...
I like to play fingerstyle more than pick and I wanted a thicker tone. So I replaced the neck pickup with a split PAF style 'bucker. I didn't touch the bridge pickup since I still wanted to retain the Tele 'twang of the bridge pickup. |
