Lightbulb TB on YouTube?

Sign in to disble this ad
I was wondering if there is/ever was a TB youtube channel that posts notable videos from TBers on bass. If there isn't, what would be your response if one was created?

Probable content would be awesome performances by TBers, lessons on technique by TBers, song play/walkthroughs, etc.

Anyway, all input is greatly appreciated!

I think it's a good idea.

There used to be a Talkbass Youtube group but Youtube shutdown groups about a year back. Seems like as good a time as any to make some kind of consolidated TB channel.

Thanks for the input!

And Kwesi -- I can definitely see something of yours being uploaded for all of TB to see. Nice side by side with the Jazz 5!

That is an awesome idea BassMom!

I was also thinking gear reviews and maybe some how-to videos as well. Whatever this community wants to provide, I think it would make for good content.

This is a good idea. I know for a fact that a bunch of TBers put out tons of content. It would be great to have a mass of videos of any variety, be it covers or instructions or what have you. I would definitely watch them.

I think the best way to go about this would be to create a channel (TheTalkBassChannel?) and create various playlists (TB GTGs, Playalongs, Originals, or something like that) and just add videos to the playlists from fellow TBers Youtube channels. Have a thread posted in the recordings forum asking users for their channel urls (not their individual videos) and then adding videos manually. That's about as close to a group as we can get these days.

Thanks for the kind words on my vids, by the way .
