So i'm looking for some Tech death metal with some pretty prominent bass and industrial with some groovy lines, kinda like stabbing westward (and i already know about quo vadis)

Well there is Cabaret Voltaire. Might not be what you expect when you think of industrial but Godflesh, NIN and Skinny Puppy all owe CV a huge debt.
Godflesh has decent basslines on soem discs. Others not so much.
More thrash than death but Kreator is a good listen.

Nice call on the Skinny Puppy, Calaverasgrande. They have been one of my faves since I heard "Dig It" in '86.

Bio-Bassist, as a big fan of both genres you mentioned might I suggest you try typing in what you are looking for into YouTube's search function and you will get tons of choices, thats one thing I do when I'm looking for new bands in a specific genre.
Another excellent option is Pandora Radio, its free and you don't have to sign up if you don't want, it just saves your preferences if you do. Just type in a band from a genre and it will keep playing bands within and associated with that genre.
I have discovered countless bands using both methods.

There is a slew of bands listed in this TB thread as well

Beatnigs, Grotus, Sharkbait, Stickdog are bands that also come to mind. Steel Pole Bathtub is kind of noise influenced proto grunge. Great bassist.
The more I rack my brain I can hardly think of a death metal band where I can discern a bass. It's all stacks of guitars on glaciers an fjords full of drums. Does burzum even have a bass?

Cynic - not industrial at all, but some serious fretless work going on in the background, underneath the tech metal/death metal.

Well not sure if these guys fit in the category, but a good friend just turned me on to them this week. Nice tapping too.

ah yes, Tosin Abasi seems to be gathering popularity quickly. Good thing too, he's a hell of a player. I remember seeing him on the Summer Slaughter tour. Awesome musician.

Aye, good load of tech DM bands in this. I'll big up Lykathea Aflame again, 'cos they're the bee's knees. Also, Demilich, Hellwitch and Thanatopsis, I'm probably repeating myself though.

Edit: Alarum are good too. Augury also.
