Anyone else on here think Television is amazing? The first time i heard Marquee Moon I effing blown away. Its such a marvelous album that gets no recognition. The only reason i decided to check out Television was because in the Ramones movie, Turn of the century I think, Dee Dee was talking about how much he loved television and wanted to join em. Television is one amazing band and if you've never heard of them, you should go out right this second and get a copy of their work. You'll be very happy that you did.

I watched Television last night... Titans got beat by Indy as expected.


That's the extent of my Television knowledge.

Yes! A rare rock ensemble approach, like pieces of a musical puzzle they combine to a unique picture. Very modular. I can't think of anyone else like them but can hear their influence all over.

Tom Verlaine came to my town a few years ago to the Wisconsin Film Festival. He provided the music to a showing of silent films by Salvador Dali, Fritz Lang and other surrealists. Just a Tele, a Twin and some pedals down in the orchestra pit. Absolutely brilliant!
