This topic may have come up before- i'm sure it has - but I finally watched the movie...i laughed my head off. It was the perfect movie for a day-after-hospital recovery.
The bit I found the funniest is the battle with the Devil - "Check this riff, it's f*ckin' tas-ty!" In fact I think my girlfriend is sick to death of me saying that line now!
It made me want to buy an Ibanez Iceman and write songs that turned people's brains to sh*t

If you have the DVD, check out the 2 other versions of the entire movie on it - One with Jack and Kyle discussing each scene and the other with the director's comments. |

Ben Stiller was watching it.
After leaving the theater the first time I watched it again and it was more bearable.

Then I saw it on DVD and went "eh, it's an okay movie." Then I remembered certain scenes and remembered how much I laffed.
I think Tenacious D lately has been really funny in small doses. They kinda lost me in the movie, but if it was in the HBO show style, cutting some scenes and all... it's great.
Still cool. |

That's a statement about the mall, not the movie. I'll admit I was hoping the movie would be funnier. Love the songs, and I always enjoy Jack. He's an amusing dude and a great singer.

| | | | The beginning of the movie is the best part. Than the movie drags a bit, but still fun.
