Well I own an upright that is currently being repaired from when the neck was broken off and my electric bass is being repaired with a fret job too get rid of dead spots and I don't have any basses and i'm sad about it. I'll get my electric back tuesday but my upright wont be ready for a few weeks. What will I do until then?

i think the official talkbass stance on this would be to buy another bass

but if financial situation don't allow for this, i'd say you could always do a little reading up on theory, or work on another music related skill...can you sing? maybe backup? if you can't, singing is a good thing to practice if you don't have a bass around, and it's always a valuable skill when joining a band
