Thank you for Gig bag recomendations

I wanted to thank everyone for their input on the various Gig Bag threads. ( I did use the search feature).

I have been using hard cases for a long time but as I get older I've been thinking of trying a gig bag with not a little apprehensiveness.

My wife ordered an Igig bag for my Birthday (515 in black)
and I took the recomendation of the Carvin bag for a good low priced model for some less expensive MIM and MIJ Jazz basses that didn't really have anything ($44.00). It arrived today and is indeed big bang for the buck. The posters mostly said zipper gashes on the bottom and horn were their bad experiences with bags. The Carvin bag has the zipper up high on the side of the bag, closer to the top of the bag (as your looking at the bag laying on a table) where it doesn't look like it would touch the zipper and a decent amount of padding on the bottom and sides. Certainly not the protection of my hard shells but I don't figure to be kidding myself about it's limitations. I plan on being careful and continue to use the hardshell cases if ever I will not be the one directly transporting my basses.
Again, thank you very much for taking the time to offer your recomendations. Also ordered the Gator ata/ASA with the black sturdy latches as a result too.

"Question. Why is there an apostrophe after 08?" Good question, I don't know... Just see it a lot when people put a year up.
