Is there a way to test microphones?

My church has a bunch of microphones that I believe some are not up to performance. Is there a way to test same brand microphones to see they are in good working order.

Yeah, pretty much. Plug in a known good one, set the board for that channel so it sounds best ,then plug the others into that same channel to see if they're working. But pretty much, unless you damaged the mic, it either works or it doesn't. If the level is too low, strange frequency response, etc. compared to the good one you've got a bum mic.
