I don't recall every seeing a poll of this nature, and am curious as to what other people think are high-end basses. When I was making a lot less money, I used to think $1000.00 basses were high end and basically based my entire decision on cost. So, I've included several bass companies. Keep in mind that I'm talking the middle of the road bass from any of these companies---not the cheapest or most expensive from company 'A', but the middle of the road.

I do have a Warwick Thumb 4 Neck-Thru, which I consider high-end, but that is not a middle of the line bass of Warwick's.
Notice that I didn't include most of the custom bass shops. We all know that most of those are high end aside from one I can think of that everyone jokes about.

Boutique basses and production basses shouldnt really be lumped into one poll together. |

Boutique basses and production basses shouldnt really be lumped into one poll together. | I kept most of the boutique basses out but added Alembic and a couple others just because they are so talked about. I was going to add Roscoe, but ran out of room.

Mike | Minus the Dingwall. They are super sweet, and I'd like to have one, but their average model isn't expensive enough for me to consider it high-end. No that the quality isn't there. I see high-end as being expensive, not necessarily better, although I just kinda realized my point of view is misguided... |

both Sadowsky and Lakland offer the lower priced , import models ... i've never seen an import Pedulla .
i mainly considered price and availability { build time } when i chose my short list .
your'e right , i have seen many Sadowsky's { including yours } and Laklands
that i think are very beautiful and exotic looking ... those i do consider " high end " . ... it's just my opinion , i could be wrong ...
