I dig, my main project right now is something similar... only I'm making drum patterns on my computer instead of a live drummer. Getting a drummer to chill out and play a steady groove is hard, our last drummer thought of silence as chances to show off (and inevitably loose the beat and the flow).

hey Jauquo, i always wondered, do these cats understand how crazy good you are? throwing down grooves like these are just SICK, but do they know that you could keep the same feel and drop 128th note patterns on them?

lol. yeah man, i'm totally not sucking up, it's just that you're one of the most technically proficient guys i've seen. there's a ridiculous amount of stuff you can do on a bass. it's humbling and it makes me practice more. love your vids.

No, I know you're not sucking up. I appreciate the shout out.

As far as my technical abilities go. I always put a strong focus on the development of a large technical vocabulary. So that I could have the proper tools right at my fingertips when needed.


And I'm personally proud that I never overplay.
