I don't know, but I have a feeling you'd really like a Comfort Strapp.

Most people seem more interested in the width of a strap than its thickness. No doubt you have your reasons.

Yamaha (I think...) made one with air cell in it. I have one, and it's really thick.

My Moody strap is wide, and luxuriously soft. It was a gift, I'd probably never spend that much on a strap. but it IS super-comfy.

Another vote for the Neotech Mega Strap. Most comfortable strap I've even owned ... wide, thick, perfect.

I am very happy with my wide and padded Planet Wave strap:

I use it with a 10+ lb Warwick and it does a very nice job with my 61 y.o. back.

I had one of those here for a day, the padding was *thin* and stiff so I returned it.

I'm looking for a strap that is 4", or even wider... Is there a strap wider than 4"? I was looking for strap like Tim Commerford uses, since I sometimes have problems with my neck and shoulders.

The Neotech strap looks nice, but the I saw that Levy's make a 4˝" strap that looks even better.

Not sure about 4" thick, but here's my personal preference. A little pricey, but everything Mono makes is quality through and through.

I'm sure everyone will laugh at this,
but it works pretty good.,

It will go on a wider strap.

It will not slide up and down the strap
like the old Gibson pad and it's much
softer. It's also 1/10the price or less.

It is thick where you need it, and soft,

Tabdog

Ya, I already mentioned it...the MSS24. I wrote Levy's about that big huge strap Tim C used to use because I wanted one really bad, but they said it was a very limited run and they're all gone now, but they directed me to the MSS24. LOVE IT!!! Tim's using it now, and so is Les Claypool.

Try the Mono brand. It has pieces of memory foam sewed in the strap. It goes for about $40 and it's made in the US.

i use comfort straps on all of my basses and find them very 'comfort'-able . they're pretty wide and have just the right amount of stretch to them.

I have the Xtraclef from Eyeland. Never a moment's discomfort. Not cheap, but it's 6+ years old and I have never been sorry.
