For those that collect D'Addario Players Points

Sign in to disble this ad
It's about to end....

http://www.daddario.com/upload/Consu...3-11_23503.pdf

They've had some pretty cool stuff over the years. I must have at least a dozen tee shirts, a few tumblers, a d'addario stool or two...having friends that are guitar techs helped....

Sorry to see this go away...

It wasn't an easy decision but the original motivation for this program was recycling, a real green effort. Since then 1994 - much has changed. We hadn't been getting many requests for fulfillment so we decided to hold our costs down by stopping the points program.

For those of you that still have points, we're going to have a conversion chart available that will let you exchange points for D'Addario & Planet Waves product. You can email me directly in the meantime, if you'd like and i can convert your point totals into value so you'll know what you can redeem those points for. You'll need to send me the total points you have and the products you'd like to obtain.

Well it was fun for the 18 years it was around Don...I'll have to count up the points I have still in shopping bags (yup ) and see what I need....and what will be available. Thanks for making this possible and thank the powers that be for the cool stuff that has been available over the years...I was even saving for the guitar you guys had back about 10-12 years ago....but it was yanked before I got enough points

I met the guy that got that Guitar. Ken from Zion Guitars made that guitar especially for us. It played quite nicely. Shoot me an email if I can convert any point totals for you, before we get the list live. Thanks!

Don,

I just emailed you about converting some points. I hope you're still doing that!

Same here! Any hope? I probably have a good 50 empty string packs. If nothing more, I'd be interested in recycling them, but who could deny cool D'addario swag?

Don sent me an email last week saying that the new D'Addario swag store, which will allow you to use your points, should be out before the summer is gone.

The reality is - there are thousands of points still out in the marketplace and we still have some on packaging in inventory, so we're restocking the points page with new inventory (guitar stools, shirts and the like) - should be available in mid-May to some time in June. And although the points program will be winding down, we will make sure that all points will have items to redeem against.

Any questions or concerns - email me @ don.dawson2@daddario.com

Hate to see this go away. Not so much because it was such a great thing, but more because of nostalgia. I've been doing the players points thing with my Dad ever since I started playing guitar. It's not like we ever amassed thousands of points or anything, but we'd get mugs and stools and stuff like that from time to time. I remember one time we ordered like 5 mugs and we received a box full of busted mug pieces! They just put the mugs in a box..somebody must have been disgruntled that day. We learned then not to order anything else made of glass
