Thunderbird Pro case problems

Just got my Epiphone TB pro-V but every TB case I've seen says they don't fit the Pro series. Anyone know where I can get one that does?

Hi.

I have no first hand experience, but from what I have read, neither the Epi nor Gibson T-Bird case is long enough for the V.

If all else fails, there's still one option :

Making a custom case for Epi LTD Explorer

I heard that when I looked at getting a hard case for my Pro IV and posted the same on another thread a while back...then somebody said that the standard Epi T-Bird case fitted (even though every online listing says it's not suitable).

I had already bought a pretty good value gig bag, so I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of ordering one then returning it if, just as they warn about, it din't fit.

I was reading reviews about the case and some people said that the standard case fits their pro but then others said it didn't. quite confused, but sure worse comes to worse I can always return it. Cheers guys for the input

Probably, but it's the V the OP is talking about and IIRC, it's a hair longer for some reason.

But, let's throw in some numbers then:

The case I have; white piping, 20cm*7cm Epiphone text, ~2009 or so.

Total internal lenght if the padding is removed/modified 131 cm
Max Thunderbird shaped bass lenght 125 cm, measured along the line between A & D strings, not including the strap pin.

Sam
