I just got tickets for Bela Fleck and the Flecktons (Featuring Victor Wooten), and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Anyone here see either of these?

I've seen both live, though not together. Tom Petty was an ok show - he played mostly hits. I think he's got some new stuff out so you'll have to sit through "Ok... here's some songs from our new record." (Insert the noise of everyone getting up to go to the bathroom here.)

The Flecktones were great - just an amazing show. It was everything I hoped it would be.

Beware, between these two acts the concentration of pot-smoking hippies in the crowd will be very high. (No pun intended.)

Seeing Tom Petty live is, as stated above, a greatest hits show. However, their collection of guitars and the wall of Vox stacks are really cool to see. They are great performers, too.

I imagine Bela Fleck and the Flecktones will be great. I have seen Victor Wooten and he was nothing short of amazing. It should be a great show.

I've seen Petty, and really couldn't believe how energetic a showman he is here 30 years into the game. I'd definitely love to go see him on this tour.
Haven't seen the Flecktones, but I've seen Wooten, and if his show is any indicator of a Flecktones show, you will be in for a great time.

I got tickets a few days back to see the Flecktones in September...5 rows from the stage. I'm so stoked.
