The Tom Bowlus Needs Our Help!!! aka Basement Relief Fund

Sign in to disble this ad
Ok, this has gone on long enough.

We all love Tom. He needs our help.

We've all seen that hidious carpet and that paneling on the walls. The madness must end.

Tom has become a T.A.R.D. and we must help him. What is a T.A.R.D.?

A person with:

Teribble
And
Repulsive
Decor

It is because I care that I beg you all to dig deep into your wallets, dig up those jars of money buried in your front lawns and pull out the change in the sofa cushions.

We must help Tom and stop him from becoming more of a T.A.R.D.

Tom has helped us all with knowedge of gear that only a few mortals possess. Helping this T.A.R.D. is the least we can do.

We love ya Tom

p.s.

Thanks for teasing me with this photo!!!

If Tom needed money, and I had some to give, I'd do it in a second. However, Tom's basement looks fine. I dig the carpet and the paneling. It's a great look for a "music room".

There's no way I'm giving him money.

Give me those Edens, and sure, I'll be able to part with some cash for it! Maybe $20?

Tom, if you ever decide to get rid of that carpet you can send it to me. That's pretty much exactly how my house looked like growing up in the 70's.

A better cause to donate to would be the UCBF.
United Caucasion Bass Fund. PM me & I'll happily accept donations.

Or the UCDWF. United Caucasion Dingwall Fund.

Bike Mike you are giddy w/Bergantino fever.

"Hi, My name is Tom........and I'm a gear-o-holic"
You see, once he can say these words in the presense of his peers, he's on his way to a new life. He'll then be able to divert funds towards things like new carpet, food, etc.
Please Tom, help yourself! L.O.L.!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man, I do catch a lot of flak over that carpet! But I gotta tell you, when we looked at that house and I first when downstairs, my initial reaction was 'Gaaahh!!' But then it hit me - this is perfect 'basement carpet!' I should have had my lava lamps going for the GTG. Man, I still love those things.

And I must point out, that the only reason that I can afford to buy all the bass gear I have is that I don't 'waste' my money on things like home improvement!

Tom.

My take:
Yes, Tom is a TARD, but I don't buy the acronym.
I say we just buy him a bike helmet and let him roam free.

And, I think that basement decor is perfect for Maker's Mark and Cohibas.

Man, leave Tom alone!! "Retro" is cool nowadays! Besides, if he spent money on things like carpeting and refinishing the walls, he'd probably be playing a cheapie Carlo Robelli bass through a Behringer rig....

...umm...wait a minute...nevermind ...

Hey BigMikeW,
You should see if Tom will give up some of that carpet to cover your new Bergie.

FWIW... me too. Though they get too freakin' hot! Someone's gotta invent a lava lamp that doesn't cook the room...
