tone in church

The sanctuary at my church is very "live", and i've noticed my tone is almost all bass, though I use the same eq setting I always have. The room in my last church was "dead", no reverb/echo at all.

is this to be expected? what adjustments do I need to make?

Sometimes you need to pick up the mids a bit, high mids if its "boomy", adn roll off the ultra low end.
