Tonight's BBC Prom - Strauss, Ein Heldenleben

Did anybody else see/hear this? I'm normally into absurdly heavy metal, post-rock and other hipster nonsense, but this performance moved me like no other piece of music has ever before. It's up on the BBC iPlayer for a week if anybody missed it and is interested.

Never heard that. But last night went to LA Phil's performance of Bolero along with some works by Astor Piazolla, the Argentinean tango composer. Bolero was, of course, fantastic. I especially love Yo Yo Ma’s interpretation of Piazolla’s music as heard on the Soul of Tango album.
