Mmm - synth bass! I'm still a Frankie fan. Check out the bass line on "Maximum Joy"...

Dead Man's Party - Oingo Boingo. Love the song, not crazy about the band. Think they did the title song to the movie "Weird Science" too.

I honestly can't think of any bands I hate, but here are 10 songs from singers and bands that, let's just say, I never went out to get their new album (except for Lionel Richie... a girl I was crazy about was a fan).

Photograph – Def Leppard
Everything Counts – Depeche Mode
Dead Giveaway – Shalamar
Stuck on You – Lionel Richie
She Don’t Know Me – Bon Jovi
Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car – Billy Ocean
Freedom – Wham
Suburbia – Pet Shop Boys
Why Can’t This Be Love – Sammy Hagar’s Van Halen
Read 'Em and Weep - Barry Manilow

I don't want to start trouble but it sounds like a lot
of you never really "LISTENED" to the bands on these
lists.

Don't take it so seriously. Just a bit of nostalgic fun.

Glad to see you agree with the title: Insufferably 80's.

Some of the songs were my brother's picks, so I do hate several of them as well.

That song would be "Moving in Stereo" although I believe its from the olden tymes (the 70's).

Used effectively in The Informers (a Bret Easton Ellis film on the over-indulgences of the '80s).
Fans of Amber Heard will need to check this flick out...

Have listened to all of these and like most of them. For you folks not familiar with John Taylor's playing from Duran Duran, I suggest you educate yourselves promptly, he played a HELL of a lot more great stuff than jsut the song Rio, both the first two albums, are FULL of great bass playing on every song. By the third album (7+The Ragged Tiger) his skills had started to decline on record (and never reached that level again on their new stuff) But those first two albums, EVERY song has a great line. Anyone out there, Nightboat, My Own Way, all great!! Although Shadows on your Side and Crime and Passion are BOTH awesome lines even on the 3rd album.
