My cousin is looking for a new guitar amp and has enlisted my help.
His price range is up to about $550 CAD (a bit less than 500 of your american dollars).
He hasnt specified much but one thing he wants is a very very very good clean channel as he usually doesnt use distortion (and he can just buy a pedal is he starts to use it more).
His main guitar is a Ibanez Articore if that makes a difference.
Thanks. |

Tube amp, about 30 watts, but it gets darn loud.
Do a search on it, I believe our own Munji has one. |

As usual, I'd recommend getting something used rather than a new amp though. The Fender Hot Rod Deluxe or DeVille amps do very, very good clean a lot better than the Blues Jr does, IMHO. But your friend may easily prefer something with a classic tube-driven reverb stage, which none of these amps have. |

It's 40 watts but really loud if necessary. I once borrowed it to a reasonably famous swedish guitarist who was playing at a gig in a club here. He first tried another (more expensive) 40w fender tube amp but it started to dist way too early so he refused to play with that and switched to mine instead (originally intended for the fender rhodes) and didn't complain anymore. But I guess he wanted a bigger cab...
Anyway, the sound of it don't fit everyone's taste... the guitarist who owned that other amp (IMO a fabulous jazz guitarist) don't like the hot rod series at all...
A Peavey classic 30 is good too, but I like mine more except for the dist channel that is way better on that one.
