An immigrant to the US who, as co-founder of Atlantic records, was instrumental in discovering and nurturing some of the greatest art and artists produced in the 20th century. Thanks Mr. Ertgun, you will be missed.

For sure. Before the internet, in order for an artist to be broadcast, somebody had to believe in them. Ertegun was the believer that some of our great musicians needed.

It is not an exagerration to say that we wouldn't recognize today's music if he hadn't been involved in its development. He was a true giant in the field.
