Trippy Hard Rock bands

So I'm in this band- Cosmic Mountain. We just got a new drummer and we are sounding IMO (and others) Pretty F-ing good live! We have a whole album recorded but our music is now headed in a more serious direction-Lyrically,musically etc. We have a realy trippy stage show and we are rocking a bit harder. Things are good creatively right now.

Problem is: No one here in Naples FL seems to care ...We really want to play for people that would appreciate getting their minds blown but it seems all that succeeds around here are cover bands and local acts that have 2 originals that sound like sevendust and then they do Sevendust and Godsmack covers. We want to branch out but we're not sure where to do so.

So do you know of any city that might appreciate a really cool stage show with awesome groovin' trippy music, Lasers, Smoke, Lights , and Trippy movies and enlightening conscious lyrics with melody?

Please help. This project is too good to not be appreciated by people other than the band members.

on a serious tip, i wouldnt just say this to anyone, send demos to Clutch! i think you guys would be a killer fit and a breath of fresh air at a clutch show. even if you could get a couple of regional gigs it could do TONS for you

whats the worst that happens? Neil wipes his *** with a piece of paper and proceeds to type your rejection letter?! SEND STUFF. theyre not gonna find you at a dive bar in naples dude. like i said if i didnt believe it i simply wouldnt suggest it, you guys are solid and would fit. i get the clutch side vibe you have, very self titled CDish. driven and hard yet creepy and etheral. 3 different song patterns in one song. Im feeling it and i think that sound coming out of a female vocalist (not discriminating) is amazing, it seems like such a no brainer and yet no one is doing it. you just seem like a shoe in as an opener if not even a second act.

its all there, you gotta decide to take the leap or keep playing to the same 50 people til youre doing covers of mustang sally

Check Atlanta. Lots of cool clubs, not too far from you. One club is The Tabernacle - they host alot of stuff like what you`re describing.

there's a blurb out there by the chick from nashville pussy you should read..... they refused to play home town gigs until they had made a name on the road....it seems that original bands have to go the extra mile(s) as there are not that many venues in any one place so they have to be strung together on the road.....youtube maybe?

theyre very cool and friendly guys and usually they find people who can play a region to start with them. something close to home. perfect to develop a nice relatively close fan base close to home. ive also seen bands open for them not worthy of carrying your amp.they give people a shot because theyre talented, not because of buzz. theyll probably be back playing the US shortly (they never rest) after feb 2010 AU dates.
