I'm all about metal, but I would be afraid of scratching my bass with that thing.

Back to the straps. They still look more comfy than the chain link Pete Steele used to strap his basses with

Aside from who's mature and who isn't, I think the straps look neat, but I'd definitely be afraid of damaging my bass or someone else with them, or myself for that matter.

Give me a nice wide strap, thick leather ends, and some room for adjustment, and I'm good to go.

#1 - Herrlster is a poser.

#2 - That website is HORRIBLE! I expect pictures of the products, not two ignorant-looking ugly scenester girls holding up a stupid sign!

Nor do I wanna see this idiot showing... NOTHING for a guitar strap!

#3 - Only a serious poser would put leather UNDER a belt of bullets! This clown's soft like Charmin! What a fraud.

#4 - PLASTIC bullets is as wimpified, sissified, weaklingified as it comes.

#5 - Photoshop effects cannot hide the fact that you are a chubby ugly deformed poser who would cringe in fear at the idea of loading band gear into a ghettotastic bar in Detroit in winter. SOFT AND WIMPY.

I know a guy who was in a punk-rock band in the 70s, or maybe the 80s. He played a ric and used a car seat belt as a strap with a big spring between the end of the 'strap' and the upper horn.

These straps'd look good with Peter Tosh's M16 guitar

I have actually found that even plain bullets are far to comfortable for me. that's why I weave strands of razorwire through the bullets. The bleeding let's people know "I'm no poser, yes-sir-ee, I'm Hardcore."

Seriously though, I do like the look of the belts, but what makes the worn belt strap, bullet strap, chain strap etc, thing work is the fact that they are DIY. Buying premade "metal" straps seems as cheesy as premade "punk" straps.

I'm no metalhead, but with a few exceptions almsot all the straps I have are home made from western belts, seat belts, Russian military belts, etc. Far cooler IMHO than the factory made "image" stuff that so many companies are churning out. But to each his own...

Hmm.. I play metal, on a Ken Smith custom fretless, using a nice and comfy Ken Smith lamb skin leather strap..

(only decent image i have of the strap)

Does that disqualify me from being "metal"?
