get the boss tu-2 chromatic tuner, i just did a bikers rally, very dark, lots of smoke and i had some songs in a drop D tuning and i wouldn't use any other tuner plus when i change basses in the gig i can use it as a mute as well! it also lights up like a xmas tree!

My friend has the Fender PT-50 I think, and that thing is soooooooooo bright it's insane.
