Tuner Recommendations

I want to get a new tuner. I've been using a little korg ga-30 which
sort of works, but it's slow and a pain in the ass.

I think I'd like to get a strobe, mostly because I do my own setups and intonation, and want it to be accurate.

What kinds do you guys like, and how much are they?

Thanks!

Used Boss TU-2.

Just really impossible to beat for the price. Plus acts as a power supply for other Boss and 9V units.

If you want strobe-style function, you could spring for a Peterson Strobostomp - one of the most accurate strobe tuners on the market (if not THE most accurate). However, it's $200+, if not more... I'd never invest that much in a tuner.

On a budget, there's your usual Boss TU-2 pedal, running around $99.00 new. It's +/- 2 cent accuracy, I think. Not strobe, though, but nice regardless.

The pedal I use is a Planet Waves Chromatic Tuner Pedal, which runs around $79.00. It has strobe and sweep tuning features, an oversized note display, and just looks damn cool. Accuracy is +/- 3 cent (I think), but it seems very accurate to me. I've never had any tuning issues with it, even on a low B. I don't need a more precise tuner, because the difference would be negligible, IMO.

I'll have to suggest the Rocktron Xtune since their customer service went above and beyond the call of duty for me.

It's $60.00, which is a sweet price for what you get.

TU-2's have always been my weapon of choice except for rack tuners.

On that note, tuner threads -> misc.
