Question tuning c dropped

Sign in to disble this ad
i want to tune my bass to c dropped tuning
but i dont know whats the best way
i have a 4-stringed Ibanez

if i tune down the E string to C then it will be too lose
and if i put on my bass strings B E A D (not G)
and tune them to C G C F
E A D strings will be too tight
and i dont know if thats ok for the bass
or sholud i put on strigns
B A D G
so i just tune B to C
and A D G one tone down

whats the best way???

I would buy a 5 string set and tune the B up and use the ADG strings tuned down.
