Two Bass Players?

There are bands with two drummers, two keyboardists, multiple guitars,etc....I've wondered if there are or have been any bands with two bassists?

No, Spinal Tap's three bass Big Bottom doesn't count....That's one song by a mock band.

Willie Nelson toured with two in the late 70's. His great live album, "Willie and Family Live" from that period has both playing and pictured on the cover. I saw them in 78 and it appeared they were playing the same lines.

I saw Willie Dixon in the early 80's. His son played a Rickenbacker while Willie played his upright.

During the heyday of recording in LA, in the '60's, three basses on a session was the norm. One upright, one electric, and a third on Danelectro 6-string.

one of the cuts on one of the classic Getz and Gilberto albums from the mid'60s had two uprights on it, but I can't recall the name (which was in Portuguese). If I find it I will post it. It was great stuff.

Actually, I was thinking one would play a more standard background rhythm part and the other a lead part.

Vanilla Ice had 2, when he did his Nu-Metal thing.
They were Doug Ardito, now in Puddle Of Mudd, and Scott Shriner, now in Weezer.
