U2's Boy B-Sides

Hey All,

Just wanted to post a quick question about U2's bonus disc to their Boy album.

If anyone has bought the deluxe version then you know what I'm talking about.

Reason being is sometimes I like to put it on and try to play along with the bass. Does anybody do this and with what album?

The U2 bonus disc to boy has some great bass song's like 11 o'clock tick tock, Speed of life and Things to make and do.

Try to listen to these on youtube if they have them. Early U2 had such great, upfront bass work. On albums like "The Unforgetable fire, the bass was not as promeint.

What do you all think?

I started doing that with U2 albums around 1983, when I started with bass. I learned "I Will Follow" and "An Cat Dubh" for the first band I joined on bass. When U2 comes out with a new album, I'll learn the songs that inspire me, but those have been few and far between for a long time.

U2 back then were a great live band, some good bootlegs from Mcgonagles i think from about 1979/80..(its a pub in dublin lots of bands played there before they became big)
not into U2 these days their early stuff is way better...
