We tell a lot of guitarist jokes on TB, but I think that the thing in which guitarists and bassists differ most is that bassists don't feel a need for instruments like this:

...or this...

or even this:

Let's see some pics of really wacky guitars. I challenge you guys to find a bass equally...eccentric.

I wish Bunnybass was still up, it had tons of ugly/wacky guitars and basses. Then again...some of the wackiest/ugliest would probably violate forum rules (anyone remember the Wangcaster?)

Then the Forum rules suck. Sorry.

I saw it and will gladly ban for a week any member (no pun intended) who puts that pic on here.

Feel free to google it and look at it on your own.

Any of you guys see the picture of Michael Manring from AGES ago when he was in BP? He had like, four basses on at once, and it looked kinda like that five-necked guitar . Totally cool picture.

Well, most bassists:

I really don't think JT's guitar is wacky, but this thread does really call for at least one picture of it!

I remember a guitar called "the Flasher" or something like that, the body was a guy opening a trenchcoat and the neck...
