Ok, I'm a complete (or nearly so!) technoidiot. I open these threads and see people have posted large photo's of their basses...HOW do I actually do that? I AM a supporting member...do I have to upgrade my membership? thanks!

No, you just either have to haev a small enough version saved on your computer or you have to have the image hosted at a website like photobucket.com

If it is already on the internet then find it, right click and select "copy image location" this will copy the correct url for the pic. then type in

[img]control-v(to paste the url)[/img]

and it will link to the pic in your post.

I use photobucket.com but all you can do with that is post a link as opposed to having the pic "appear" whic is what I'm after. At present I can post 2 pics but the images are so small that it's almost not worth the bother.

So let's say I upload photo's to photobucket.com or somewher like that...I then follow your directions and the pic will actually appear in my post?

the code I typed in looks like this {img}http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/images/300/fruit_medley.jpg{/img}" I had to use {} instead of [] so it wouldnt show the pic.
